Our Journey

Pressure Washing

06/  /2024

The pressure washing was Uplift's first project. StephenDaniel (RIP) was on a road of destruction, using drugs to numb his pain. He was at his breaking point and ended up sitting on the front steps of a church. Instead of turning him away, they gave him a place to rest. When he woke up, he was surrounded by food and love. He ended up staying there and giving his life to Christ. I met Stephen through work, and we became friends. Once I heard his story, I wanted to meet this amazing man of God. We went to church with him to thank him for saving his life. God put it on my heart to help, so I offered to pressure wash the church. Such amazing people, and it was an honor to be a part of it.

Feed  The Need

10/12/2024

On October 12th, 2024, Uplift Ministries hosted "Feed the Need" in Kingsport, Tennessee. Following a clear calling to offer a warm meal to those in need, the vision blossomed as volunteers from various backgrounds united to serve. The event's impact was significant, providing 100 comforting chicken tender meals with sides and distributing vital survival kits. It was a truly blessed day, showcasing the boundless goodness of God!

House Painting

10/31/2024

Miss Beverley's house painting . October 31st 2024 This woman of God has a huge role in helping me form Uplift and give me the motivation and inspiration to push forward with it. I wanted to do something for her, so I asked what would you like done? She said my house painted...I said yes ma'am and walked off sweating...lol..I asked God how am I going to pull this off with just me and he answers, they will help..so I began saving, asking for donations and coming up with materials. When the time came to do it. We had 3 guys and myself. In 2 days of non-stop work. We completed this massive project...won't HE do it!! Thanks to everyone who helped make this happen Sara Griffin, Joey Smith, James Vessels,

Feed The Need

03/22/2025

God's faithfulness was evident once again at our second Feed the Need event. Despite earlier difficulties in finding a venue, He led us to the compassionate Miss Johnnie Mae Swaggerty, who welcomed us to utilize her church's soup kitchen. With 18 enthusiastic volunteers, we were able to provide 195 hamburger and hotdog meals to those in need. We are deeply blessed by this partnership and the open invitation to continue serving. All glory to God! Thank you to each person who showed their support and generosity.

MLK Parade

04/05/2025

Once again Johnnie Mae invited us to come out to the Martin Luther King Jr.  parade where love and unity was on display. Our whole group came and what an honor it was. I am so thankful for the people that God has placed in my life to help this Ministry be a success.
